I’m Big in Switzerland

It’s been just over a month since the release of “A Poor Man’s Pocket,” and the air-waves and inter-tubes are a-buzz with positive reviews!

The most exciting and unexpected news I received was that SRF Kultur (a branch of Swiss National Radio) had scheduled a 30-minute spot centered around my songs! The piece ran on Friday, January 24th at 4pm. I’m eternally grateful to station programmer Annina Salis, who came across my music via twitter!

You can listen to an mp3 of the spot below (an English translation will be added here soon!):

Following the success of his EP in fall 2012 and a mini-tour of the U.S. northeast the following summer, Paris-based songwriter David Garlitz will release his first full-length effort, “A Poor Man’s Pocket,” on January 14th, 2014.  The album features eleven original compositions by Garlitz, as well as a version of Steely Dan’s “Your Gold […]

Micro-tour = Macro-smash!

Hey folks! I’m proud to say that my first U.S. micro-tour was a great success! I played 5 shows in three states, did a live radio broadcast, and shot a music video – whew! It was a lot of fun, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of a lot of people. Thanks […]

Micro-Tour U.S.A.

I’ll be doing my first ever solo shows in the U.S. this summer. The “micro-tour” starts with the illustrious Funky Monkey Café in Cheshire, CT, then makes it’s way up to New Hampshire for a show in my hometown and a spot opening for the Boogaloo Swamis at the Cocheco Arts Festival!

Buzz for the EP

In just three months since the EP’s release this fall, “Ton Petit Bébé” was featured on the Justin Wayne Show, “Luna y mar” was selected for the Young Rebel International Playlist, and the whole EP was picked up by 1Radio.fm and Radio Crystal Blue.

You can help keep the ball rolling! Head over to 1Radio.fm and rate my songs. Make a request for one of my tunes on Radio Crystal Blue. Or, if you know someone who would like the songs, send them to check out the music video on Vimeo.

If you like the songs on the EP, stay tuned! There’s more where that came from!
